College Goals Services - How We Work With You

Our practice focuses on supporting and guiding our students; however, we are warmly welcoming to parents too, for we know and understand the level of their concerns. Of course we adhere to strict professional standards of confidentiality and discretion.

You will benefit from the collective knowledge, experience and wisdom gained from professionals who are familiar with every aspect of the admissions process and its significance for academic success. While you work with one of us, we conference regularly about information that can benefit all of our students.

Because we personally have international backgrounds and experience, travel frequently to locations abroad, and have office sites in multiple locations and time zones, we use the internet and phone services, Instant Messenger, Skype, and other available technologies, as well as personal contact, to develop and maintain easy access and rapid responses between our students and parents and ourselves.

There is no waiting for monthly or even weekly meetings in order to get answers to critical questions. You can expect a rapid response from your College Goals counselor - sometimes, indeed often, within hours.

We are available when our students are - often later in their day or evening. Because we are located in multiple time zones, our phone consultations with student and parents can take place in the evening of the student's time zone. Weekend consultations are often possible. This is a huge benefit, since most busy students and families cannot fit in consulting appointments during daylight hours on weekdays.

We accept a limited number of client families annually, so that we can be accessible and available to provide our students and parents with the level of expert information, experience, guidance and support for which College Goals is known (please see our testimonials).

In-person meetings and consultations are a pleasure when they can happen. We travel frequently and may come to your part of the world at least once during the time we work together. But just as applying to college is a 'long distance' process, so our 'distance' relationship, enhanced by technology, will be both appropriately and satisfyingly supportive. Indeed, many parents and young people have told us that they often find it easier to express themselves and communicate information more effectively through these new technologies - and they are happy to be able to reach us quickly, getting a response within a couple of days or sometimes a couple of hours, instead of waiting for a scheduled office appointment.
