Services & Fees

Every counseling relationship begins with a half-hour in-person or telephone session, for which there is no fee. It is as important to us as it is to you to determine that the student, the parents and the counselor all agree that we can work together well on behalf of the student; that there is consensus regarding the student's and the family's goals; and that it is understood what College Goals will be able to provide.

Full-service single-fee college admission consulting program

We offer a single-fee, unlimited-access consulting program in which you receive College Goals' most extensive college admissions support for students who begin work with us in 10th or 11th and 12th grades, including the summers before and after these school years. Thus the earlier in school that you start to work with one of our consultants, the more we can help you, and the more you will benefit from our services.

The longer we have to help each student and family to be aware of, support and shape the young person's unique interests and gifts, the better the student will be at developing a compelling resume about their abilities, passions and goals, and the more each college will be interested in what this young person could contribute to their campus community.

  • We guide, encourage, motivate and coach students and parents through the complex, confusing and stressful process of choosing colleges and preparing the applications for up to eight appropriate colleges or universities.
  • We help the student and family to develop a realistic personal admissions plan and schedule for required tests.
  • We assist with plans for visits to the universities we consider appropriate in meeting the student's academic and personal goals and dreams.
  • We support the student through every step of their writing process, guiding and motivating them to create compelling application essays.
  • We provide close personal counsel and advice regarding how to obtain excellent and valuable recommendations and how to prepare dynamic resumes.
  • We assist the student in developing appropriate contacts with the institutions to which s/he will apply.
  • We guide the student and family in developing summer opportunities and extra-curricular activities using community, national and global resources that will strengthen the student's application profile.
  • We are available through the results of the application process to help the family determine the best opportunities, and to guide the student to choose wisely among the schools that accept his/her application.
  • Unlimited access by telephone, email or in-person meeting depending on location and circumstance.
